Living in poverty writes the future story for many children. They have a 35% higher likelihood of living in poverty as adults & are more likely to have feelings of failure and hopelessness about their future. As a result, they are at significant risk of developing mental health issues. A huge barrier to economic improvement is a lack of affordable childcare within hours that meet the needs of low-income families. Providing 24/7 childcare increases parents’ potential and allows them to accept higher-paying jobs. Child and parent move together out of poverty when parents are gainfully employed, breaking the cycle of poverty. Stepping Stones Childcare by Switchpoint will provide enriched programming designed to give the best possible start to youth. Programs may include art & play therapy, yoga, dance, piano lessons, tutoring, Storytime, and more. These opportunities are proven to build confidence and improve a child’s future success Please help us overcome the barriers our clients face in securing affordable, accessible childcare.
